How does the resume builder work?
Enter your work history, skills, and the job description you're applying for. Resumen analyses the role's requirements, maps your experience to the most relevant keywords, and generates tailored resume content. You can review, edit, and regenerate any section before exporting.
Is my resume ATS-compliant?
Yes. Resumen formats your resume using clean, machine-readable layouts and strategically embeds the keywords recruiters' ATS systems look for. You can also run an ATS score check to see how well your resume matches a specific job posting before you apply.
Can I edit my resume after it is generated?
Absolutely. Every section of your resume is fully editable inside the builder. You can tweak wording, reorder sections, add or remove bullet points, and regenerate individual sections with fresh smart suggestions at any time.
What file formats can I download?
Free accounts can export as PDF — the format most hiring managers and ATS systems prefer. Pro accounts also unlock DOCX (Word) export, which is the most ATS-friendly format for direct submission.
How much does it cost? Is there a free tier?
Yes — Resumen has a free tier that includes 3 AI resume generations per month, 1 saved resume, PDF export, and the Classic template. That's enough to build and refine a complete resume at no cost. Pro ($9.99/month) unlocks unlimited generations, unlimited saved resumes, DOCX (Word) export, all premium templates (Meridian, Obsidian), and cover letter generation. Pricing is also shown during sign-up and on your account settings page.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest. We do not sell your personal information or use your resume content to train our models. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from your account settings.
